HOW CAN I BE INVITED TO ATTEND THE CP3 RISING STARS NATIONAL CAMP?

The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is an invitation-only, elite, individual event for the top underclassmen prospects in the United States and abroad. 

 

In order to be eligible to attend, prospective campers must be incoming high school freshmen or sophomores (Classes of 2027 and 2028 for our 2024 event), and receive an official invitation (this is not an open-enrollment event).

 

To be considered for an invitation, a player nomination form may be submitted through our website, which will be reviewed within the dates stated above. A determination will then be made if the respective player should receive an invitation to attend. Submitting a player nomination does not guarantee that an invitation will be awarded.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PLAYER NOMINATION AND A CAMPER REGISTRATION?

The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is an invitation-only, elite camp. We accept and review player nominations for any prospective camper who is eligible for the event based on their grade. Anyone can submit a nomination (the players themselves, a coach, a parent/guardian, etc), however only one (1) nomination should be submitted per player. Multiple nominations for the same player are strongly discouraged. Submitting a player nomination does not guarantee that an invitation will be awarded.

For those players advancing through the nomination process, invitations are awarded to attend CP3 Rising Stars National Camp. From there, the camper registration process (also referred to as the "camper sign-up" process) should be completed immediately. The camper registration/sign-up portal will automatically close once the event reaches its roster capacity.

 

The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is an invitation-only, elite camp with a set number of roster spots. The pool of annual invitees is 10% larger than the roster capacity as not every player invited is able to attend. For this reason, roster spots are not guaranteed until the registration process has been completed.

Please note this event is in high-demand and has sold out every year for 10+ years; our enrollment reaches capacity much more quickly than other events. Invitees should REGISTER IMMEDIATELY upon receiving their invitation in order to confirm their respective roster spot. Once again, invitations do not guarantee roster spots. Further, roster spots are not confirmed for invitees until the camper registration process has been completed.

DO CAMPERS HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THEIR GRADE DIVISION?

YES! The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is a grade-based event exclusively for campers in grade nine (incoming high school freshmen) and grade ten (incoming high school sophomores). All participants must compete in their grade division. Requests to compete "up" or "down" a grade division(s) are not allowed for any reason. No exceptions.

Campers found to register/compete in the wrong division, whether intentionally or not, may be declared ineligible and forced to vacate their roster spot for the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp as well as future CP3 events. Only student-athletes in the Classes of 2027 and 2028 are eligible to compete at the 2024 CP3 Rising Stars National Camp.

I SUBMITTED A PLAYER NOMINATION AND RECEIVED AN INVITATION TO ATTEND. WHAT'S NEXT?

Congratulations! Once a nomination form has been completed and you have been awarded an invitation, invited players must confirm their attendance by completing the registration form and registration fee immediately. A password to access the registration portal can be found within the official invitation email/text. Once again, please note that an invitation does not guarantee a roster spot. All previous CP3 Rising Stars events have sold-out in thirty (30) days ore less. The camper registration portal will automatically close once the event reaches its roster capacity.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE REGISTRATION FEE?

The CP3 Rising Stars registration and enrollment fee ($399.99) covers the cost of players' time on the court and a custom uniform order. Players are allowed to wear the shoes of their choice for the duration of the event. Additional merchandise will be made available for pre-order purchase and limited items will be sold during the event.

​WHAT IS CANCELLATION INSURANCE? AM I REQUIRED TO PURCHASE THE INSURANCE?

​Cancellation insurance is an optional purchase protection for your CP3 Rising Stars registration and enrollment fee. This cancellation insurance policy is offered to protect campers and families financial interests in the event they are unable to attend an event due to an emergency or unforeseeable situation.

 

Cancellation insurance can be purchased for 10% ($39.99) of the complete registration fee and is available to all campers as an additional, but optional, feature. If cancellation insurance is not purchased, any/all registration fees are considered non-refundable, non-transferable, and will not be credited toward any future CP3 Camps regardless of the reason.

 

Please note that cancellation insurance is not available should you opt to place a deposit (partial registration payment), as opposed to completing the full registration balance, however it can be added as part of the remaining balance payment. All deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be credited toward any other CP3 Camps. All cancellation insurance must be purchased during the initial/original registration process and cannot be added retroactively at a later time/date.

I PURCHASED CANCELLATION INSURANCE. HOW CAN I MAKE A CLAIM?​

If you purchased the optional cancellation insurance and would like to make a claim on your policy, please send a formal email request to staff@cp3risingstars.com. If the claim is made ten (10) days or more prior to the listed start date of the event, you will receive a full refund of your complete registration payment.

 

However, your cancellation insurance policy is considered "redeemed" or "activated" at that time, and is non-refundable. No alternative compensation/refund options are available.​ Additionally, if you purchased the optional cancellation insurance and would like to make a claim on your policy, but your claim is made less than ten (10) days prior to the listed start date of the event, you will receive a partial refund in the amount of 50% ($199.99) of the original registration payment. Your cancellation insurance policy will be considered "redeemed" or "activated" at that time and is non-refundable. No alternative compensation/refund options are available.

ARE TRAVEL, BOARD, AND FOOD INCLUDED IN THE CP3 RISING STARS REGISTRATION FEE?

NO! Please note players and accompanying guardians are responsible for their own lodging, transportation, snacks, and meals for the duration of the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp. Our gym location has several nearby meal options available at a reasonable distance and adequate time is allowed on the schedule as a break for dining. Concession stand options will be available strictly at the discretion of the host venue. Outside food and drinks are not likely to be permitted inside the host facility so please plan accordingly. Each camper is REQUIRED to have a guardian present for the duration of the event in case of an emergency.

IS STAYING AT THE HOST HOTEL MANDATORY?

NO! Staying at one of our host hotels is recommended but not mandatory for campers and families. The host hotels offer a limited number of discounted rooms under our "CP3 Camps" block. As a guest at the host hotel, campers may have additional opportunities to interact with CP3 staff and other CP3 guests while offering the most convenient locations in terms of proximity to our host gym. Once again, host hotels are considered a courtesy not a requirement, thus we are unable to guarantee room availability and rates. Additional questions should be directed to the hotel property and respective management.

IS FRIDAY CHECK-IN MANDATORY?

YES! Friday, August 23rd, 2024 is reserved for this year's "check-in" process at CP3 Rising Stars National Camp.

​

Both participating campers *and* accompanying guardians must be present. No exceptions.


Failure to attend check-in on Friday, August 23rd, 2024 will result in forfeiture of the respective roster spot.

WHAT TAKES PLACE AT THE MANDATORY CHECK-IN ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 23RD, 2024?

Doors will open for check-in beginning at 6:30pm (local time/EST) and will close at 9:30pm (local time/EST) on Friday, August 23rd, 2024 at Rise Indoor Sports (419 Twins Wy, Bermuda Run, NC 27006).

​

Players may arrive anytime between 6:30-9:30PM EST. Doors will NOT open early but will remain open for the duration of the check-in time frame. Failure to attend check-in on Friday, August 23rd, 2024 will result in forfeiture of the respective roster spot.

​

CP3 Rising Stars National Camp provides first-class exposure opportunities and we want all participants to receive the full experience. In all, the check-in process and media sessions will take approximately 1.5-2 hours. Please anticipate long lines during this process as wait times are unavoidable. The earlier you arrive, the better!

 

During check-in, players receive their camp gear and can shop for additional items at the camp store, have their official combine measurements recorded, take part in a "meet and greet" session with media members where they are made available for interviews, and will be photographed by our team of professional photographers for complimentary action images and a professional headshot.

​

We appreciate your patience as our staff will move campers and guardians through the lines as quickly as possible. To reiterate, camper check-in is on FRIDAY ONLY and is MANDATORY.

IS CP3 RISING STATS NATIONAL CAMP OPEN TO THE PUBLIC? IS THERE AN ADMISSION FEE?

YES! The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is open to the public to enjoy. Limited seating is available. Personal chairs/seating are permitted at the discretion of the host facility. Spectators ARE NOT allowed on the court(s) at any time. Daily passes can be purchased for $20.00. Children under the age of five (5) years old are free.

 

No weekend passes are available. Admission passes are not available in advance and are sold ONLY at the door. We cannot accept cash. Credit/debit cards are the only acceptable form of payment. Once again, NO CASH can be accepted. Parking charges are at the discretion of the host facility and are not associated with CP3 Rising Stars National Camp.

WHAT ADDITIONAL ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE?

At an optional cost of $149.99, CP3 Rising Stars is partnered with Jordan Brand to offer an additional merchandise package. This exclusive event "pre-order" includes a Jordan Brand backpack with a custom bag tag, as well as a CP3 Rising Stars Dri-fit T-Shirt, and alternate CP3 Rising Stars reversible shorts. Pre-order items cannot be exchanged.

​

The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp offers a camp store featuring a number of limited CP3 and Jordan Brand items available for purchase each day of the event (Friday-Saturday-Sunday). Inventory varies and prices will be clearly listed (non-negotiable). We cannot accept cash and credit/debit cards are the only acceptable form of payment. Once again, NO CASH can be accepted. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience related to our payment policies.

​

Our media partners also offer special packages that vary in price depending on your order. Included as part of our media add-on packages are a professional headshot, personalized photo shoot, spin booth, and on-camera media training & interviews. Also available for an additional purchase are player mixtapes/highlights as well as professional player profiles/evaluations, photo collages, and NBA combine-style measurement graphics as part of an exclusive social media package.
