📬 How Can I Be Invited to Attend the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp?
The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is once-a-year, an invitation-only, elite individual showcase for top underclassmen in North America and abroad. The event is a highly selective, invitation-only event designed to spotlight only the most promising prospects.
Nominations are anonymous and open to the public. Coaches, trainers, media, and family members are all welcome to nominate a player. However, being nominated does not guarantee an invitation. All nominations are thoroughly evaluated by our National Selection Committee, which is composed of credible scouts, coaches, and basketball professionals from across the country.
The invitation process is led by Houston Wilson (Director of Boys’ Scouting & Recruiting) and Jared Newson (Director of Girls’ Scouting & Recruiting) who oversee all aspects of evaluation and selections.
The majority of evaluations occur during the NCAA scholastic and non-scholastic evaluation periods in May, June, and July. During this time, our committee conducts extensive live scouting and video analysis. Additionally, top performers from the CP3 National Middle School Combine (CP3NMSC) — a series of regional events held each fall — are closely tracked and may receive priority consideration.
All nominees are reviewed based on their performance, long-term upside, and intangible traits. The goal is to assemble the most competitive and nationally relevant group of underclassmen to participate in one of the premier grassroots events in the country.
To be eligible:

Campers must be incoming 9th or 10th graders (Classes of 2028 & 2029 in 2025).

Campers must receive an official invitation. This is not an open-enrollment event.
To be considered:

A player nomination form must be submitted via our website.

Nominations are reviewed by our staff and scouting committee within the timeline listed above.

Submitting a nomination does not guarantee an invitation.
✍️ What’s the Difference Between a Player Nomination and a Camper Registration?
-
Player Nomination: A submission recommending a player for consideration. Anyone (coach, parent, player, etc.) may submit — but only one nomination per player is permitted.

Camper Registration: Once invited, a player must complete the registration form and payment to confirm their spot. Invitations do not guarantee placement until registration is complete.
Important facts:

The number of invitations extended exceeds the available roster spots (by ~10%).
-
For this reason, registration is first-come, first-served until capacity is reached.

The event has sold out every year in its more than 10-year history.
📚 Do Campers Have to Participate in Their Grade Division?
Yes. All campers must compete within their appropriate grade division:

Grade 9 (Class of 2029) / based on 2025-26 academic year
-
Grade 10 (Class of 2028) / based on 2025-26 academic year
Requests to play up or down a grade will not be accepted under any circumstances. Players found to be in the incorrect division may be removed from the event as well as future CP3 Camps.
✅ I Received an Invitation—What’s Next?
Once invited, players must:

Access the registration portal link and password included in the invitation email or text.

Complete registration and payment immediately to confirm a roster spot.

Further details and instructions are accessible through the registration portal.

Again, receiving an invitation does not guarantee participation. Roster spots are confirmed only after completing registration.
🛡 What is Cancellation Insurance? Is It Required?
Cancellation insurance is optional and available only during registration for $39.99 (10%) of the total fee. It protects against emergency cancellations or last-minute conflicts. The complete cancellation policy is available here.

If not purchased, all registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Insurance cannot be added later if not selected during the original registration process.

Deposits (partial payments) are non-refundable and non-transferrable.

Deposits do not qualify for cancellation insurance.

Remaining balance payments do offer limited cancellation insurance.

📩 I Purchased Cancellation Insurance — How Do I Make a Claim?

10+ days before camp: Full refund of registration fee.

Less than 10 days before camp: 50% refund ($199.99).
Note: The insurance itself is non-refundable once purchased/activated.

✈️ Are Travel, Lodging, and Meals Included?
No. Campers and families are responsible for:

Travel to/from the event

Hotel accommodations
-
Meals/snacks throughout the weekend
Nearby food options are available. No outside food or drink is allowed inside the facility. A guardian must be present at all times during the event.
🏨 Is Staying at a Host Hotel Required?
No. While not required, staying at one of our featured hotels is recommended:

🕕 Is Friday Check-In Mandatory?
Yes. All campers must check in on Friday, August 22, 2025, between 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM ET.

Failure to attend check-in will result in forfeiture of your roster spot. No exceptions.

🔔 Estimated duration: 1.5–2 hours. Expect lines and arrive early if possible, however, doors will not open early.
🏀 Campers— Please wear basketball/athletic shoes & gear and come ready to participate!!
📶 Suggested arrival windows may be communicated to help manage traffic—please follow them if your travel is flexible.
👀 Is the Event Open to the Public? Is There an Admission Fee?
Yes, the public is welcome to attend. All non-campers are required to pay admissions fees:

Seating is limited—personal chairs are only allowed for those with disabilities.

🛍 What Additional Items Are Available for Purchase?
Shoes are not provided nor available for purchase. All campers should bring shoes and may wear the basketball shoes of their choice for the duration of the event.
Additional merchandise in limited quantities is available for pre-order (on-site pick-up) as well as on-site purchase at the event. Available styles, quantities, and sizes vary year-to-year. CP3 Camps does not offer online sales.
