Media Guidelines & Credentials
📸 Media Credential Policies
Thank you for your interest in covering the 2026 CP3 Rising Stars National Camp.
We appreciate the role that media members play in showcasing the nation's premier basketball prospects. Please review the policies below before submitting a credential application.
These guidelines are designed to protect our student-athletes, maintain a professional working environment, and ensure a first-class experience for credentialed media.
Submission of a media credential application does not guarantee approval or venue access. All credential requests are reviewed individually by CP3 Rising Stars event management.
Questions regarding these policies may be directed to:
🎟️ Media Credential Applications
ALL media members (including photographers, videographers, writers, broadcasters, scouts, recruiting services, content creators, documentary crews, and independent media) must submit a credential application before attending the event.
Approved credentials are issued based upon:
• Editorial need
• Available space
• Organizational discretion
• Previous professional conduct
• Compliance with CP3 Rising Stars media policies
To ensure adequate workspace and venue capacity, a maximum of two (2) credentials will be approved per media organization unless otherwise authorized. Submission of an application does not guarantee approval.

Failure to pick up credentials during the designated window may result in forfeiture.
NOTE: 🚫 The event is CLOSED to media on Friday, August 21, 2026.
🏷️ Credential Use
Media credentials:
• Must be worn visibly at all times.
• Remain the property of CP3 Rising Stars National Camp.
• Are non-transferable and cannot be replaced.
• May only be used by the approved recipient.
• May be revoked at any time for policy violations or failure to comply with event staff instructions.
• Lost or shared credentials may result in immediate removal from the event.
🤝 Professional Conduct
Credentialed media are expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times.
Media credentials are intended solely for legitimate editorial coverage of the event.
Credential holders may not use event access for:
❌ Autographs
❌ Personal photographs
❌ Recruiting
❌ Marketing
❌ Commercial promotions
❌ Product demonstrations
❌ NIL solicitation
❌ Sponsorship activation
❌ Business development
❌ Personal networking with players
Media should always follow instructions provided by:
• Event Management
• Security
• Volunteers
• Venue personnel
Failure to comply may result in immediate credential revocation and removal from the venue.
🔐 Court Access
Credentialed photographers and videographers may capture the event only from designated media locations.
To ensure the safety of participants and preserve spectator sightlines:
✅ Sit or kneel whenever possible.
🚫 Standing directly along baselines is prohibited.
🚫 Standing tripods are prohibited unless specifically authorized.
🚫 Media may not enter the playing surface during live action or warmups.
🚫 Media may not occupy:
• Player benches
• Team huddle areas
• Scorer's table
• Officials' areas
• Medical or athletic training stations
• Restricted operational areas
Media should never interfere with:
• Players
• Coaches
• Officials
• Volunteers
• Event operations
🎥 Video Production
Credentialed media are welcome to produce editorial video coverage of the event.
🚫 Live streaming is strictly prohibited.
This includes:
• Instagram Live
• Facebook Live
• TikTok Live
• YouTube Live
• Twitch
• X Live
• Any real-time broadcast platform
Media may capture highlight footage for editorial purposes only.
Video may not be used as a substitute for live event coverage.
🚫 The sale or licensing of event content (photos and video) is strictly prohibited at all times.
🎙️ Interviews
Interview opportunities will be available following designated skill sessions and prior to afternoon game sessions.
🚫 Interviews are NOT permitted during games.
🚫 Formal press conferences will not be conducted.
Interview requests should be coordinated through CP3 Rising Stars Event Management whenever practical.
Media should:
• Identify their organization.
• Inform participants if audio or video will be recorded.
• Respect player availability.
CP3 Rising Stars reserves the right to relocate, delay, or deny interviews if necessary.
👤 Student-Athlete Protection
The health, privacy, and welfare of our student-athletes remain our highest priority.
Credentialed media may not:
🚫 Request phone numbers
🚫 Request personal contact information
🚫 Discuss NIL opportunities
🚫 Solicit representation
🚫 Solicit media sales
🚫 Recruit athletes
🚫 Conduct commercial business
All communication requests should be directed through CP3 Rising Stars staff or the athlete's parent/guardian when appropriate.
📱 Social Media
Credentialed media are encouraged to share editorial coverage throughout the event.
When possible, please:

🏷️ Use: #CP3RS
📸 Tag CP3 Rising Stars whenever practical.
📹 Offer CP3 Rising Stars collaborations whenever practical.
Short highlight clips are encouraged for editorial storytelling provided they do not violate video policies.
🚁 Drone Policy
🚫 For the safety of participants and spectators, drones and unmanned aerial systems are prohibited anywhere on event property (both inside and outside of the gym) unless expressly authorized in writing by CP3 Rising Stars Event Management prior to the event start date.
🧠 Artificial Intelligence & Content Usage
Media credentials authorize editorial coverage only.
Images or video captured under a CP3 Rising Stars credential may not be used to:
❌ Train artificial intelligence systems
❌ Create commercial AI-generated content
❌ Develop image datasets
❌ Produce synthetic promotional materials without prior written authorization.

🚫 Event photography and video may not be sold.
🚫 Event footage may not be licensed.
🚫 Event access may not be used for commercial advertising.
🚫 CP3 Rising Stars logos, graphics, schedules, or branding may not be reproduced for commercial purposes.

Approved media members wishing to receive pre- and post-event:
• Official press releases
• Digital rosters
• Player measurements
• Statistics
• Event updates

⚠️ Credential Revocation
CP3 Rising Stars National Camp reserves the right to deny, suspend, or revoke any credential at any time.
Violations of these policies may result in:
• Immediate removal from the venue
• Revocation of media credentials
• Denial of future credential applications
• Additional action deemed appropriate by Event Management
Acceptance of a media credential constitutes agreement with all policies contained on this page.
