Following the model successfully implemented with the introduction of CP3 Elite Guard Camp in 2009, the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp was created in 2013, featuring a roster of 80 rising high school freshmen from the Class of 2017 as well as a combined rising seventh and eighth grade division comprised of another 80 prospects. Nearly all of the student-athletes from the Class of 2017 that attended the inaugural CP3 Rising Stars National Camp reached their dream of playing basketball at the Division I level and their successors have continued to raise the bar each year.

In 2015, in order to meet the demand from grassroots coaches and programs across the United States and Canada, the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp became exclusively for rising high school freshmen. In the same year, the CP3 National Middle School Combine was introduced, allowing student-athletes set to enter grades six through eight an opportunity to compete with and against their peers in an elite instructional environment. Overall, only 240 of the best youth prospects in North America were selected to compete in the prestigious CP3 Camp event series. In 2020, the coronavirus pandemic caused the 8th annual event to be cancelled, and CP3 Rising Stars National Camp returned in 2021 while expanding its field to rising high school freshmen and sophomore student-athletes.

Today, the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp continues to feature exclusively the best rising high school freshmen and sophomores from across the globe, while honoring past participants of each respective graduating class. Included among our notable alumni are McDonald's All-Americans and Jordan Brand Classic selections, USA Basketball participants, and a number NBA Draft picks and overseas players. Thousands of Division I scholarship offers have been awarded to CP3 Rising Stars attendees which equates to millions of dollars in educational opportunities.

Simply put, the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is the platform for incoming high school freshmen and sophomores to have their talents tested and recognized on a national stage. Each year, media members from across the United States attend, and the exposure for our campers simply cannot be compared to any other event. The CP3 Rising Stars National Camp is truly the first major step toward a successful high school basketball journey and beyond.
